Aug the Third (cont’d)
I’m so high that I didn’t see my folks until dinner today.
… … …
It’s currently after dark, but I don’t know what time it is because there is no time. There’s just numbers. Humans love their numbers, don’t they? Some like ‘em to line up synchronously, some like ‘em to be as big as they can possibly be, some like ‘em to follow some sort of pattern, even if every next number in the pattern is smaller than the last.
Me? I don’t like the numbers all that much. They have their use, like, for example, denoting the page of a book. But I have the clock turned off on my laptop. Sometimes I don’t even turn on my phone for the sole purpose of not being able to look at the time, because I don’t like the numbers so much.
Or rather, perhaps it’s because I don’t like the time.
Yes. Perhaps it’s because I don’t like seeing the time.
I just like living, baby. The present moment is mine, and it’s so beautiful. So… so infinite, if you let it be.
… … …
Journal, I’m back home in the Pond of the Logger’s and I’m so high that I didn’t see my folks until dinner today. Dinner was at least four hours ago. Haven’t seen ‘em since, my eyes are too squinty. Hell, I couldn’t see ‘em if they were standing right next to me.
… … …
Maybe I’ll just do this every day. Just get higher and higher and higher until I blow away with the smoke. And the ashes. They blow away, too… where did I hear that?
… … …
Thank you, Journal. ‘Preciate ya. Good sleeps and good dreams~
