Sept the Seventeenth – Untitled Bigfoot Project (78/224)

Sept the Seventeenth

What a nice day I had.

I spent a lot of today doing nothing. Just hanging around at home, skimming Thriftbooks for something new to read, finding nothing, zoning out in front of YouTube, wishing I had some video games to play or something. Then I got a text from Keaton asking if I wanted to take a walk around Iiron Heights, and I really didn’t because the hills over there are insulting at best and offensive at worst, but I went anyway. Just for the fuck of it. And you know what? I had a really good time. I haven’t chilled with Keaton alone in a long-ass time, it was just like the good ol’ days. Dude is so chill.

After the walk we hit one of the delis on Mane and I got a footlong sub, tried to split it with Keaton but he revealed to me he chose that deli specifically because he told the owner he would fill in as the dishwasher (it’s a family business, and the family is close with the Quinns, and the guy’s son was sick with mono or something). He literally tied on an apron and disappeared behind the counter as I was walking out, it was hilarious.

However, that left me with an entire footlong sub, which I wasn’t about to eat by myself. It’s not that I couldn’t, it’s just… it takes a lot of muscle, okay? I was still in active mode from climbing The Heights and my stomach wasn’t ready for all that meat.

Then I got a text from Tori asking if I wanted to hike up to that viewpoint again – or any different ones that I knew of; she never goes hiking but she really enjoyed it the other day – and I said totally. Journal, the look on the girl’s face when I offered her half of my sandwich was literally the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen, she acted like I was giving her a diamond. It was so fucking funny, but anyway, we ate in the library parking lot and I asked if she was set on climbing a mountain or if she just wanted to walk in the woods, and she said she didn’t care, she just wanted to take a walk.

With me.

Like, she didn’t say she just wanted to take a walk with me, but like. C’m’on. She wanted to take a walk with me.

So, I forced her at gunpoint to get into my car and we took a stroll to The Foothill and had a little campfire (good thing I randomly decided to toss a lighter into my pocket for whatever reason). And you know what else? We kissed again.

Let me rephrase that: SHE kissed ME. On the MOUTH!!!

It lasted a little longer than the first one – that was just a little peck sort of thing, and I caught her off guard with it (but didn’t she lean into it? Oh yes, yes she did) – and she bit her lip a little bit after we broke it off and it was… it was nice. It was really fuckin’ nice. We didn’t do anything else – well, I put my arm around her for a little while, which was also nice – but… yeah. It was just… it was so nice.

We didn’t wind up staying out there for too too long because the bugs and the setting sun and the fact we were literally sitting in the dirt like a couple of bigfoots, but… yeah. It was nice, Journal. Rest of the day was pretty uneventful, didn’t do any more notetaking, but that’s okay. I wouldn’t change a single thing.

…                                     …                                    …

What a nice day I had. Know what? I’m feeling a little ballsy too: what a nice life.

Say thankya, Journal. ‘Preciate ya. Good sleeps and good dreams~
