Ten pages. Ten pages, Journal. Ten filled looseleaf pages, every line scrawled with graphite. That is the synopsis to The Face of Fear, ten full looseleaf pages. And it’s dope, it’s fucking so cool, it’s sssoooooo good, I’m so excited to actually make this into a book. I almost can’t believe this is happening to me, like, how is this my life? How can a college flunky flunk out of college, have a borderline psychotic breakdown, get a girlfriend (technically not my girlfriend yet but she’s been texting me a ton today AND I can still feel the buzz of her lips on mine from yesterday soooo she’s definitely more than a friend) and put together a plan for a dope-ass original novel?
Like, how is all of this happening???
… … …
Oh yeah, I remember. Because everything that happens happens because it’s supposed to happen, just like I told Harry on that weird-ass day when he smuggled me into the basement to tell me all the different ways he fantasized about getting with Tori, I guess. I don’t think I ever specifically told you about that, but like… it was weird. Dude went on a tirade. If she ever found out about that she’d be mortified. I’m mortified right now just thinking about it, yeesh.
Speaking of Harry, dude’s been a little distant lately. Definitely has something to do with me and Vic’, but it’s whatever. He’s always been a little weird. Needs to be the head dude in charge otherwise he feels like he’s not good enough or something like that. It’s weird. Not my problem though.
SO, big news. Tori is coming over to hang out tonight, and I got my folks to promise not to be weird. Like, they’re definitely going to be weird, but… I don’t know. It feels good to tell them I’m going to have a girl over, and a girl from outside of Logger’s Pond, too. Someone they’ve never met before. I don’t know what made her want to get a job here, but I’m sure as shit glad she did. I dug out the spare TV my folks keep in the basement and got them to lend me their DVD player too, we’re going to watch a couple movies (which I also procured from my folks). I hope she doesn’t mind lounging on my bed, but I think it’ll be fine. We never directly talked about banging but she mentioned a few times she likes to take things slow, get to know each other before we do anything too freaky. I’m into it. Not that I didn’t enjoy getting acquainted with Jocelyn’s second pair of lips the day after I met her (or was that the same day? Hard to remember, I was smoking a lot of pot back then, it kind of all blurs together), but things are so much different with Victoria. Like, it’s not even that it’s on a different page, but it’s in a totally different book, you feel me? I’m really enjoying it.
She’s going to be here in about an hour, not sure when she’s leaving. Might write later, might not. Time shall tell.
