Oh yeah, done and done and done. I thought the last chapter I had to write was going to be a looooot longer than it turned out being. I’m pretty solid though, I don’t think I’m going to need any rewrites. This is going to be my 16th book now, I kind’a know what I’m doing at this point, and… oh, yeah.
So uh, remember how I used to be like OH THERES GONNA BE A BOOK FOR THE NOTE AT THE TOP OF NEXT YEAR, MAYBE APRIL?!!?
There’s a book for The Note now
and it includes a little poetry collection!
Which was the plan the entire time! I won’t lie, I originally planned on making full-page adverts for all of my books and dispersing them throughout The Note, but I decided against it at the last hour. Not the last minute, nor second, but the last hour. As in, I put solid thought into it and decided to scrap the idea. Didn’t really fit with the overall concept of the book, so fuck it. ’twas the right move. But anyway, yes! Scratches: The Bookmaker’s Note Preseason is now out, and this is truly the extent of the advertising I’m trying to do for it because if you don’t read this blog, why would you want it???
THE BOOKMAKER’S NOTE SEASON 1 HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN
which really means the new The Hillside Commons season has begun. I’ve created my creations in seasonal format from the very beginning, I think we’ve been over this. Get the big picture idea, go through it part by part, book by book, etc. Season 1 was The Highest One Writing, season 2 was theoretically everything between The Monksville Chronicles and Over the River: The Emancipation of Jonathan Knox. So… yeah, this is kind of Season 3.
But officially, it’s Season 1, because officially, the seasons only apply to The Note, because realistically, the way I create my creations is not in seasonal format. It resembles seasonal format, but there is very little order, far too much chaos, and the balance is always the wrong kind of balance.
At least it was. In the beginning. I feel like things are going to be better in Season 1. For starters, I have a general roadmap, and Imma share it here.
Existential Spirals 3
Existential Spirals 4
I should be clear about this, each thing on that list fits into a series and a spiral, and most of them already have titles. I’ve been planning the back half for a little while now, the tale and the novella specifically. Originally the novella was going to come before the novel, and it still might. It’s not going to, that order up there is solid as stone, but at the same time it’s completely subject to change. Meaning I might put out more than just those 9 books during Season 1 lol
Speaking of which, how long is Season 1 going to be?!!?
I don’t know yet, this is literally the first day. But I’m excited, ‘man! Lots of work to do, lots of products to put out. Lots of good times to be had, lots of cannabis to be smoked, woods to be hiked, fires to be burned, and most importantly of all, lots of books to be made.
One more time for the boys back home: The Note Season 1 has officially begun; now go, there are books to be made!
Since you’re there, noted reader, thank you for being there. From this day on, we move forever forward~
